Top positions for Valentino and Benetton
Greenpeace launches the Detox Catwalk, an interactive plactform assessing the progresses made by the fashion industry in terms of sustainability. Companies have been classified as “leader”, devoted to “greenwashing” or “loafer”, depending on the commitment in eliminating the toxic substances from their suply chains.
Four important Italian brands are included in this list: Valentino, Benetton, Armani and the “Only the brave” Group of Renzo Rosso, that counts brands like Maison Martin Margiela, Marni, Viktor&Rolf, Diesel & Staff International.
Benetton and Valentino conquer the first steps of the podium together with other virtuous brands like Levi Strauss, H&M e Mango.
Valentino is also the only Italian company that publicly undertook with Greenpeace to guarantee the leather and packaging of its products don’t originate from deforestation of last green lungs of the planet.
