Consorzio Promozione Filati… 4sustainability!
Green light to an integrated plan for sustainability
The decision of Consorzio Promozione Filati to follow a path towards sustainability is a voluntary act of great significance. In order to achieve its objectives, Consorzio Promozione Filati addresed to an Italian excellence in the field like 4sustainability, the network founded by Process Factory and Brachi with many similar projects to its credits realised for famous fashion brands and textile companies.
The idea, to which all eleven members of the Consorzio contributed, led to the establishment of a Charter of Values for Sustainability. This document is not the usual, empty declaration of intent, but a real operating protocol and an engagement of responsibility towards consumers, customers, employees and communities in general.
«We strongly believe that in order to affirm a culture of sustainability, the commitment of enterprises is crucial», said Francesca Rulli, project manager of 4sustainability. «So we’ve been working closely with entrepreneurs to define objectives that can be really achieved and to turn good intentions into measurable results».
«I am confident that this project is the first of a series to be developed with all companies in the supply chain, from woolen mills to finishing sectors», said Giulio Lombardo, sales and marketing director of Brachi. «This kind of initiatives is necessary for the economic returns that may result and that are consistent with the plan launched by the Industrial Union of Prato, Tuscany, one of the most important textile districts in Italy where the companies of Consorzio Promozione Filati are based».
