Brachi opens in Bangladesh!
A new laboratory in Dhaka to move quality where it is more necessary
For Brachi Testing Services, 2015 marks the opening of new operating headquarters in Bangladesh. This news, which can now be made official, credits even more Brachi laboratory for its ability to be close to brands where they have their most important productions.
As the operators in the fashion and textile industry know, Bangladesh is the second largest producer of clothing in the world. The sector is strategic for the chance of development of the country, contributing largely to the increase of the current GDP.
Many brands have launched their own production in the country of the Indian sub-continent, attracted also by the absence of duties that exist elsewhere and a general economic trend that is strongly positive.
According to the Minister for Trade Tofail Ahmed, who on September 20 opened the celebrations for the National Day of Bangladesh at Milano Expo, «Bangladesh is now a free and developed country, with a GDP of nearly $ 22 billion».
In short, this reality is at least as interesting as China, where Brachi is solidly present for several years.
The decision of Brachi to open in Dhaka its own offices, acquiring the laboratory of the main national association of apparel manufacturers, the BGMEA, is based on these considerations.
The project is to make it an independent body able to issue impartial test reports, a specialized laboratory that is at the technological forefront and can support the companies, first of all the Italian ones, which are already present in Bangladesh with their own productions or want to follow this way.
The added value is the wide range of technical and regulatory consulting services offered on-site to customers that distinguishes Brachi Testing Services from its main competitors. The model applied in China will be replicated in Bangladesh, to offer Italian brands the same quality standards they are accustomed to at home.
The transaction includes a number of charity activities and important projects in the education field, with the creation of scholarships conceived to introduce students to the career of laboratory technicians.
