Europe awards Remo!
A movie of the EU Commission on Brachi commitment towards the culture of reuse
Prato, Italy, is among the protagonists of the movie the European Commission is realizing to awaken citizens to the themes of the so called circular economy.
ICF Mostra, a famous international communication agency for government institutions and NGO, will have the responsability of all shots, that will put in evidence the most original projects founded on this virtuous model of business. The purpose is to promote the culture of reuse and the principle that there are not waste products but products that, once transformed, can generate new wealth for everybody, with clear advantages also for the environment.
Bruxelles arrives in Prato thanks to REMO, the Italian Dutch company born from an idea of Martin Havik that is also a label, an innovative warranty system that guarantees the percentage of regenerated fiber and the environmental saving of every item of cloting providing it with a true autenticity certificate. REMO’s special recycling methods will be shown to the audience, as well as the clever idea of involving all the players of the supply chain to turn it from linear to circular.
The movie, financed by the European Commission's Directorate General Environment, will be distributed to the main TV neworks of 27 countries. More than 30 million viewers will have the opportunity to know some companies of the territory REMO involved in this true recycle movement.
«Pontetorto, Comistra, GM Filati, Manteco, Cunningam, Le Noir… A good number of Tuscan companies have understood in advance on their competitors the potentialities of the circular economy as a marketing factor ans so the importance to communicate what is regenerated as a trendy product. Today, Europe awards them with the returns assured by the popularity of the movie and the market will do the same thing, more careful than ever to sustainability». That’s the concept the entrepreneur and marketing manager at Brachi Group Giulio Lombardo expressed. Brachi is one of the main partner of REMO, sustainability and product quality being the core business of the group.
Francesca Rulli, project manager at REMO and sustainability manager at Process Factory – the project management company that promoted the project together with Brachi - underlined the importance to add value to the recycle process through a real warranty system. «This is exacly the mission of REMO: to encourage the clothing manufactures to close the circle, so that sustainable fashion becomes more “attractive” and the distinctive skills of industrial areas like the Prato district are more remunerative».
