China, Market Inspection Plan 2016

AQSIQ announced the categories of products subject to inspection

The Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine – better known as AQSIQ – released few days ago a relevant communication about the Market Inspection Plan for 2016, specifying the types of products and related articles that will be subject to inspection.
In particular, we mention four of greater importance for companies for which we perform tests and analyses, also offering technical and regulatory advice.

  1. Children’s products: strollers, toys, student supplies, children’s shoes, clothing for babies and children.

  2. Textiles: knitted wear, women’s underwear (bras, body sculpting underwear, cummerbunds, etc.), cashmere knitwear, down garments, sportswear, leather clothing, bedding.

  3. Bags and footwear: sneakers, leather shoes, suitcases and luggage, handbags and knapsacks.

  4. Sport goods, sports helmets.

«Thanks to our joint venture with Zhejiang CIQ, we knew for some time that these types of products would become subject to systematic controls. For this reason we’ve informed our customers, so that they could face this challenge having a proper preparation», said Giulio Lombardo, Sales and Marketing Director of Brachi.
«The fact that AQSIQ has now formalized this news makes it essential for any company that sells in China organize control plans to limit the marketing risks in the Chinese market even for these types of products».

Our dedicated team with GB standards and our laboratories in Prato and Hangzhou are available both for further clarification on the standards relating to the types of products subject to control and for the execution of tests that, thanks to our CMA accreditation, enable companies to manage any dispute with the Chinese Inspection Authorities.
